Sudhir Bhatnagar is the General Secretary of the Board of Directors of SARD. He is one of the founding
members to have set up this NGO in 1996. SARD, since inception under his leadership, has scaled new
heights and has been able to mobilize support from multiple agencies including some renowned
Business Houses for spearheading their CSR Programs. He has been conferred several prestigious awards
for his contributions in the field of Education and ICT, Health and Nutrition, Child protection, water and
sanitation and microfinance.

a. UNITAR(United Nations Institute for Training and Research), Republic of South Korea forapplying Humane approach in Disaster Risk Reduction,
b. MASHAV (Israel's Agency for International Development Cooperation), Govt. of Israel for setting up Learning resource material bank in Delhi for govt. schools
c. Ameri-Care Award at Mumbai in recognition of Outstanding contribution in the field of Education.
d. Diwan Mehta award for NGO leadership in Maharastra for developing an integrated model of convergence of technology and resources.
e. The Chief Minister (Mukhyamantri Shiksha Diksha) Award and micro finance award in Haryana by the Chief Minister- Haryana.
In addition to the above, SARD field offices also got many awards in the field of Education, child protection, trafficking, eliminating child labour, by local administration and state and National govt.
Mr. Bhatnagar has highlighted SARD’s work on Education, innovation, technological advances in many national and International forums including the UN headquarters in collaboration with Millennium Education @ Sustainable Education along with top software companies like Microsoft, Intel, Adobe etc. He is a professional member of many bodies like State Council of Education Research and Training, National Book Trust, Indian Red Cross and St. John Ambulance and the Committee on Routine Immunization Mission. He has contributed several approach and abstract papers on different themes & aspects of quality education in many international forums supported by UNESCO, Oxfam International, ICBL, CIfal, Partage, etc.
He is instrumental in implementing two large projects in the City of Delhi among 900 Primary Schools—run by the Government under the aegis of NCERT-- covering around 400 thousands children, spread in two South and North Corporations to improve Learning Level Outcomes, protecting health and hygiene and successful completion of schooling by improving pedagogical inputs, use of technology and building capacities of teachers in enhanced learning resource materials. Michael Susan Dell Foundation and Development Impact Bond, Oracle majorly support these projects, among other key donors including Water Aid-India.
Mr. Bhatnagar is a key strategist and specializes in convergence of resources, ensuring functional integration in complementing CSR objectives of large financial and business corporates within India and internationally.
